The delivery cost is calculated at the checkout once the delivery postcode is provided. Our delivery charges vary and start from £50 + VAT, depending on the order weight, items in the basket and the delivery location. The order total weight can be seen at the checkout to guide you through the options for your delivery.
Delivery Cost for Standard delivery
Zone 1:
Up to 1,000kg in weight – £50+VAT (Van delivery)
1,000kg and above in weight – £125+VAT (Moffet delivery)
Zone 2:
Up to 1,000kg in weight – £70+VAT (Van delivery)
1,000kg and above in weight (up to 2,000kg) – £100+VAT (Palletline)
1,000kg and above in weight – £150+VAT (Moffett delivery)
Zone 3:
Up to 1,000kg in weight – £90+VAT (Van delivery)
1,000kg and above in weight (up to 2,000kg) – £100+VAT (Palletline)
1,000kg and above in weight – £250+VAT (Moffett delivery)
Zone 4:
Palletline delivery, custom delivery cost depending on the postcode. This will be calculated at the checkout. Max weight load limit for zone 4 is 6,000kg.
The delivery costs for bulk deal offers differ from our standard delivery costs.
Delivery Cost for Ramco Products
Currently Ramco products are sent directly by manufacturer, hence delivery cost would be separate from our standard cost.
Cost for most of England (Zone 1 – 2 Apart from PO postcode & Partial Zone 3) is £50+VAT.
For the rest of UK – £160+VAT.

If for any reason you are unable to proceed with the order to your postcode, click on “SAVE & SHARE CART” button at the bottom of the checkout and provide your order details. Send your cart to our sales team at [email protected] by selecting an email option, and they will be in touch shortly with estimated delivery date after a review of your order.
The next day delivery is available within zone 1 free of charge as long as you place an order on the day before 11am.

We aim to complete our orders within 1-3 working days (within our Zones 1 – Zone 4) on vans or palletline from the order date unless the customer requests a day outside the default delivery window or if moffet is required. Once the order is placed, you will be notified of your delivery date via email. You will receive a call or text message with delivery date confirmation usually within 24 hours after order is placed. Bank holidays and weekends will affect your delivery lead time as our service runs on working days only. It will always reflect in your estimated delivery date.
All delivery times stated are approximate and are subject to availability. Usually, our deliveries are completed between 8 AM – 5 PM.
We advise that customers wait for their goods delivered before arranging work to be undertaken. Building Materials Wholesale may not be held liable for any failure to provide by any stated time or date or any consequential loss resulting from late delivery.
Our delivery service is to kerbside only throughout the UK. It means that the driver will park as close to your delivery location as possible, and then you will be responsible for unloading your goods from the vehicle. Where possible, van drivers will assist. For other methods, forklift or adequate manual labour is required to unload the order. Suppose the delivery destination is within our standard delivery area (Zone 1 – Zone 4 on the map below). If a truck-mounted forklift delivery is required due to your order weight – this will be presented at the checkout as a delivery option.
Any shortages in quantity or missing items must be written on the drivers delivery notes and reported to Building Materials Wholesale within 24 hours of delivery. Building Materials Wholesale will accept no claims for shortages or missing items if driver’s delivery notes are not signed for.
Do not accept damaged products. If possible, take a picture of the damaged boards and refuse delivery. The company will not accept claims for damaged materials if the delivery note is not signed for as damaged. Instead, any damages must be clearly written on the driver’s delivery note, and also, Building Materials Wholesale must be informed accordingly.
As soon the order has been delivered to your requested delivery address, the risk of any damage or loss passes onto you, the customer.
Within the standard delivery area, highlighted as Zone 1 – Zone 4 on the map below, we operate a fleet of heavy goods vehicles and vans; therefore, road access and weight limits must be considered. Unless advised of access restrictions, we will send vehicle according to your order weight. All vehicle options are shown at the checkout, including HGV vehicles. Please let us know if you order has restricted access by entering the relevant information in the ‘Special Instructions’ box provided at the check-out.
We consider limited access if our drivers encounter double yellow lines, a red route, narrow lanes, steep hills, low bridges, or width restricted roads. Outside of our delivery area, haulage firms that we work with operate only a fleet of 26-tonne lorries and articulated lorries; therefore, deliveries to sites with width-restricted access and narrow lanes will not be possible.
If we cannot make a delivery because access is not possible on our arrival, we reserve the right to make a failed delivery charge.
Deliveries are made on working days only. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are classed as working days except for bank holidays. All orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday. Our order processing cut off time is 11 AM. If the order is placed on Monday at 2 PM for up to 1-3 working days delivery, the order most likely will arrive on Thursday or Friday.
Sheet Materials Wholesale proudly offers a delivery service of one of the country’s largest sheet materials product selections to sites across most of the United Kingdom. All our products are available for delivery to our standard delivery area that is marked as Zone 1 – Zone 4 on the map below. Delivery is non-refundable and collection/return of each product or individual order is subject to a minimum of £50.00 + VAT and it depends on the order weight and the delivery location. Plus a re-stocking charge of a minimum of 15%.The initial delivery charge paid at the checkout is lost and will not be refunded.
All amendments to the delivery or the delivery address, once the goods have left the warehouse, may result in additional fees, i.e. redirection to a different location rather than the one provided at the time of the order; rescheduled delivery if rescheduled once the driver is already on the way; delivery that can not be completed due to accessibility will be classed as a wasted journey; refused delivery, except if the goods are faulty or not the ones ordered; excessive time driver is held on site will also be charged.
