Description

Hardboard, also called high-density fibreboard (HDF) is a traditional engineered wood usually utilised for covering of floors and levelling of old floorboards. It has one smooth face while the other face is rough to enhance the grip on the surface, but still, a staple or ring shanked nail is needed. The hardboard sheets are found in 3.2mm thickness. Since 3.2mm hardboard sheets are obtained from fine wood particles which are highly compressed, they are durable and cheap compared to other boards and can be utilised in various projects. Because standard hardboard panel 3.2mm x 2440mm x 1220mm doesn’t split, it is ideal for:

  • Construction
  • Flooring
  • Cabinetry
  • Furniture
  • Home appliances
  • Automobiles

Benefits and Key Features of 3.2mm Hardboard

  • Can be used for several purposes due to its thin profile.
  • Smooth-faced and therefore, aesthetically appealing.
  • Easy to cut and therefore easy to work with.
  • Cost-effective.
  • The face of the board can be painted; hence you can paint it in your preferred colour.
  • Compliant with EN13986 with a CE mark.
