Plasterboard

Plasterboard – also known as drywall, is a panel that is made to build walls and ceilings in almost every room in every building.

Plasterboard is used in the following ways:

  • Interior walls – Partition systems are used with plasterboard in most buildings. It is a lightweight, resilient and adaptable method of drywall construction.
  • Ceilings – Plasterboard is used to construct ceilings, providing easy large-scale coverage.

Standard plasterboard offers the following benefits:

  • Smooth finish – This makes decorating much easier and allows easy application.
  • Easy to work –Plasterboard is effectively a lightweight premade solution, making it quicker and easier to install than any other method.
  • Fulfils basic requirements – Using plasterboard will allow you to meet the Building Regulations to be approved.

Standard plasterboard has a regular gypsum core formulation and is encased in a strong 100% recycled paper liner. It is ideal for a wide range of residential and commercial internal wall and ceiling applications where fire resistance ratings, impact and water resistance are not required.

“VOLMA” plasterboards are produced according to EN 520. They are a sheet product consisting of a gypsum core that is pasted over from both sides with sturdy cardboard. The longitudinal edges are seamed with cardboard. Cross edges are just cut.

Standard type is used for interior decoration of buildings and premises with dry and normal humidity.
