Description
Shinnoki Premium Raven Oak 19mm is a prefinished real wood veneered MDF panel from the Luscious Blacks collection. It is designed for interior joinery where a bold, high-contrast finish is required. This is a real wood veneer surface, not a printed wood effect finish.
As part of the Shinnoki Premium range, the finish is controlled during production. The surface is already brushed, stained and lacquered at factory. There is no need for sanding or finishing on-site. This keeps installation quicker and helps reduce labour compared to standard unfinished veneered MDF. The panel is supplied ready to use.
The surface is finished with six layers of UV-cured acrylate urethane lacquer. It has a soft-touch matt finish with low sheen. Manufactured in Belgium by Decospan as part of the Shinnoki Premium range. The surface is resistant to micro-scratches and has been tested against common spills.
The veneer is made using Decospan’s mixmatch technique, helping create a more consistent surface while preserving the natural character of real wood. Veneers from different logs are selected and combined to balance colour and grain. This helps reduce visible differences between panels when used across larger surfaces, making it easier to achieve a consistent finish across full installations.
As a Premium panel, it has Shinnoki quality veneer on the front face, with a matching Shinnoki look and feel on the reverse and slightly more natural variation. Supplied in A/B grade, meaning the front face is cleaner and more consistent, while the reverse may show a more varied grain pattern.
Raven Oak has a deep, almost blackened tone with subtle grain visibility. It adds depth and contrast, creating a more defined, architectural feel. Best suited for interiors where the finish plays a central visual role. The crown cut veneer creates a wider, more open grain pattern with a softer, more natural flow.
Matching accessories are available to support a consistent finish across full installations. These include colour-matched correction pens, varnish touch-up pens, and matching real wood (24mm x 0.6mm) and ABS (24mm x 1mm) edging tape, all supplied unglued, in all decors. Together, the board, edging and repair pens create a complete finishing system for larger joinery schemes.

Not recommended for horizontal worktops or surfaces with direct water exposure (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas). For these applications, an MR MDF or moisture-resistant carrier is required; please contact us for special-order options.
