A cross-grain design means that the grain pattern goes across the sheet, and the short edge of the sheet bends to join with the short edge. This flexible plywood panel is commonly called bendy plywood or flexibly, and is used extensively in furniture and shopfitting, wherever curves are desirable, thus demanding a panel that is extremely flexible.

Excellent product, if you know how to work with it.
Most importantly, it bends really well, I found that to be around a 50mm-75mm radius max.
Due to how it’s constructed and what wood species is used, the grain is very open/loose, the tighter the bend, the more the grain opens up on the outer side of the bend, fine if you are going to stain and/or varnish, but if you want a smooth painted finish, it will require filling, sanding, priming and then painting.
When working with it and cutting, it does chip quite easily, so make sure that whatever saw blade you use, that the teeth cut into the finish side, because it leaves the finished side clean, but the reverse side splintered. (obvious for some, but I’m just trying to help)
The wood has a very soft texture and can get dented easily, so care must be taken when handling and storing it, especially handling, as it flexes.
Apart from that, it has been the ideal product for my project (work in progress).
The process of ordering and delivery was smooth and it was competitively priced, I’m a happy customer 🙂
