19mm Plywood
19mm plywood sheets are used when the job calls for a board that feels solid and stays that way. Plywood 19mm is a practical option for both trade and experienced DIY users who want a dependable result.
What is 19mm plywood sheet?
A 19mm ply sheet is made from thin layers of wood laid in different directions. The layers come together to form one solid sheet. The board has a consistent 19mm thickness across the surface. It feels firm and does not bend easily. The sheet stays flat during cutting and installation.
What is 19mm ply used for?
19mm plywood sheets are often used as subfloors, raised floors and platforms where a flat, firm base matters more than appearance. The same plywood 19mm works well for shelves, storage units and furniture carcasses, especially in kitchens, wardrobes and built-in units that carry real weight.
Plywood sheets 19mm are also commonly used behind finishes. They form the base for wall linings, media walls and TV recesses, as well as window seats and fitted benches that are meant to feel permanent. You will also find ply 19mm used for bed bases and platforms, and for radiator covers and service boxing, where panels need to stay straight and secure. In staircases, 19mm ply is used for side panels and under-stair storage, keeping lines clean and structures stable.
19mm plywood is equally at home in garden rooms and home offices, where it supports both walls and built-in furniture. It is also widely used in exhibition stands and temporary builds, where strength, accuracy and the option to reuse materials all matter.
19mm plywood is available in sizes of 2440 x 1220mm (8’ x 4’) and 2500 x 1250mm (8.2’ x 4.1’). It meets BS EN 636 Class 3 requirements. The board is supplied with square edges. The surface has a smooth sanded veneer finish with a crown cut face. It is graded A/B and G1S. The plywood complies with CE2+ standards. It has an E1 formaldehyde rating. The board is suitable for structural use. It can be used indoors. Exterior use is possible when the sheet is properly treated.
