Lead time: 3-5 days

The average delivery lead time for the majority of orders is 1-3 working days from the date of your order, however, it could extend to 5 working days on rare occasions or when you order products with extended lead times. Once the order has been placed, customers receive a text message and email confirmation, along with a tracking link, 24 hours before delivery. Only Palletline and Moffett customers are contacted directly by a member of staff.       Suitability:ย The Ramco HiCem fibre cement board isย A1 non-combustibleย and moisture-resistant, and can be used for exterior sheathing, wall cladding substrates, and render carrier systems when installed correctly.

      Coatings & Surface Preparation

      Because this board isnโ€™t a weatherproofย finished claddingย by itself, itย must be protected/finishedย if exposed to weather:

      1. Render Systems

      • Mineral or polymer-modified renderย such as base coat + finish (scratch/flex base with acrylic finish coat).

      • Board acts as theย substrate; render provides weatherproofing and decoration.

      • Follow render manufacturerโ€™s priming and mesh recommendations.

      2. Paint & Primer
      If you want to paint rather than render:

      • Primer:ย Use a primer suitable for cementitious substrates (e.g., acrylic masonry primer or a specialized cement board primer).

      • Topcoat:ย Exterior acrylic masonry paint (flexible, UV stable).

      • Note:ย Primer helps with adhesion and blocks suction for uniform topcoat. Many painters also recommend aย thin SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) primerย or selvage coat before painting to minimise moisture draw-out.

      3. Weather Sealing

      • Seal jointsย with exterior-grade sealant (neutral cure silicone or MS polymer) to stop moisture ingress around penetrations and panel joints.

      • Useย weatherproof flashingsย where necessary.

        Primers & Coatings

      Required Primers

      • Cement board primer / exterior masonry primerย โ€“ helps acrylic paint bind to a cementitious surface.

      • SBR Primer (optional but useful)ย โ€“ especially if youโ€™ll apply render directly. It helps bond the render and stabilise the surface.ย Reddit

      Topcoats

      • Acrylic masonry paintย โ€“ breathable, flexible, exterior grade.

      • Mineral or elastomeric renderย โ€“ for a full protective cladding.
