18mm Egger F206 ST9 Black Pietra Grigia Melamine Faced Chipboard 2800 x 2070mm is manufactured in Germany by Egger and is part of the Black Unicolours range within Egger’s wider Uni Colours collection.
Colour and Surface
Black Pietra Grigia is a black marble-effect decor with sharp white veining. The veining does not repeat across the width of the sheet, so panels joined side by side avoid an obviously repeated look. ST9 is Eggerโs Smoothtouch Matt texture, a smooth surface with a soft matt feel.
Egger tests how well its decorative boards cope with staining substances, and they score 3 or higher (EN 14323). They need no special care. Spills such as tea, coffee and wine should still be cleared up straight away.
Construction and Performance
This 18mm panel has a non-structural chipboard core, faced on both sides with resin-impregnated decorative paper pressed into a durable melamine surface, and finished with a square cut edge thatโs ready for banding. Fire behaviour is classified as D-s2,d0 under EN 13501-1, and the formaldehyde level sits at E05.
It is intended for dry interior applications. It can be used for kitchen cabinets and furniture, but should not be installed where the board or exposed edges will be subject to persistent moisture, standing water or direct wetting.
