It is excellent hardwood plywood engineered with waterproof glue. This plywood is not chemically treated; therefore, it is not resistant to rot. 25mm Marine plywood has good grades, are robust, lightweight and defect-free.

    Compliance with BS1088 says it all, really – This is the standard that Marine Insurers specify and Marine Plywood is widely used within the Ship and Boat Building industries. Whilst naturally resistant to decay and the ingress of moisture, it is still essential to ensure that once in situ, both the edges and faces of the plywood well sealed to increase service life.

    2. Hello, I am thinking of 25mm Marine Ply for my garden workshop floor - do you think this is a good choice? I intend to lay Celotex underneath. Would you recommend any membrane between the Celotex and the ply please? Also, how would you treat the ply after laying?

      You can certainly have this ply installed for your workshop, all I will say is to seal the face and edges before laying it down to prevent moisture getting in to the ply. We recommend you consult with local builders merchants regarding the installation and the right product to use.

      Yes, the board will be suitable to use, however, don't forget to treat the board first prior to installation.

      A I would advise putting a membrane between them as it would reduce the chance of the ply getting moisture into it. But for more accurate information, I would advise you to check with a builder.
