What is 44mm thick plywood?
44mm plywood is an engineered wood panel manufactured to a full 44 millimetre thickness. It consists of a solid internal core combined with plywood outer layers. Unlike thinner plywood sheets, this thickness provides substantial rigidity across the entire panel. The internal structure is designed to maintain consistency from edge to edge. The plywood surface provides a smooth and reliable outer layer.
44mm plywood is available in following sizes; 2440 x 1220mm, 3050 x 1220mm, 2135 x 915mm, 2040 x 926mm, 2040 x 726mm, 1981 x 838mm and 2440 x 915mm. Panels are supplied with square edges. The surface is suitable for painting on selected products. According to the documentation supplied along with the boards – they are manufactured to BS476: Part 22 and classified as FD30, providing 30 minutes of fire resistance when correctly installed. E1 low formaldehyde rating. Suitable for interior use and exterior use when sealed and protected.
