18mm Egger U669 ST9 Estate Green Melamine Faced Chipboard 2800 x 2070mm is manufactured in the UK by Egger, part of the Green Unicolours range within Egger’s wider Uni Colours collection.
Colour and surface
Estate Green sits somewhere between grey and green, shifting subtly depending on the light and what’s placed around it. That warm, muted quality links a sense of natural materials with a more urban, considered elegance, which is part of why it works so comfortably alongside wood and other natural finishes. ST9 Smoothtouch Matt reinforces that neutral character with a natural, even matt feel. Tested to EN 14323, the surface scores 3 or higher for stain resistance, so everyday marks and spills clean off without damaging the finish.
Construction and performance
The chipboard core is faced on both sides with resin-impregnated decorative paper pressed into a durable melamine surface, finished with a square cut edge ready for banding. Fire behaviour is classified D-s2,d0 under EN 13501-1, and the formaldehyde level meets E05. The panel can be cut, drilled and machined using suitable woodworking equipment, with exposed edges finished using matching U669 ST9 ABS edging. It is intended for dry interior applications. It can be used for kitchen cabinets and furniture, but should not be installed where the board or exposed edges will be subject to persistent moisture, standing water or direct wetting.
