  • Description

18mm Egger F661 ST76 Sand Beige Calcit Stone Melamine Faced Chipboard 2800 x 2070mm is manufactured in the UK by Egger and is part of the Beige Unicolours range within Egger’s wider Uni Colours collection.

    Colour and Surface
Sand Beige Calcit Stone keeps things simple on the surface, a plain sand beige tone lifted by the subtle authenticity of real stone underneath. That restraint gives it a calm, stable feel, whether carried through a fully monochrome scheme or used as a standalone material. ST76 Mineral Rough Matt backs that character up with a genuinely rough hand, close to the texture of quarried stone rather than a smooth decorative surface. Tested to EN 14323, the surface holds a stain resistance rating of 3 or higher, so everyday marks aren’t a concern.

    Construction and Performance
The chipboard core is faced on both sides with resin-impregnated decorative paper pressed into a durable melamine surface, finished with a square cut edge ready for banding. Fire behaviour is classified D-s2,d0 under EN 13501-1, and the formaldehyde level meets E05. You can cut, drill, and edge-band it using standard woodworking equipment. It is intended for dry interior applications. It can be used for kitchen cabinets and furniture, but should not be installed where the board or exposed edges will be subject to persistent moisture, standing water or direct wetting.

    Where to Use It
18mm Egger board F661 ST76 Sand Beige Calcit Stone MFC suits a range of interior fit out work:

    • Kitchen cabinet fronts in a calm, monochrome scheme
    • Feature wall panelling for a large, stone-inspired surface
    • Fitted wardrobe doors in contemporary or classic bedroom schemes
    • Office desking and partition panels with an understated finish
    • Shelving units where subtle texture adds depth
    • Bookcase or media unit fronts in a quiet, neutral tone

A colour matched ABS edging tape is available for this decor, supplied unglued in 0.8mm and 2mm thicknesses for use with hot melt edgebanding machines.

Send me a notification for each new answer.
    1. Q Would this panel work for a room divider or freestanding partition, where both faces are visible?
      A

Yes, since the panel is faced with the decorative surface on both sides, it looks the same from either face, making it a good fit for a room divider or any piece viewed from more than one side.ย

    2. Q Is this decor too plain for a feature wall, given how understated it is?
      A

Not necessarily. Its calm, restrained character is often exactly what a feature wall needs when the goal is texture and depth rather than a bold colour statement, especially in a room that already has other visual interest.

    3. Q How does the surface behave under close-range lighting, like under-cabinet strip lights?
      A

The rough texture can catch more shadow under strong, angled lighting than a flat panel would, which actually reinforces the stone-like depth rather than looking uneven or unintentional.

    4. Q Can large areas, like a full wall, be built from multiple panels without an obvious seam?
      A

Careful joint planning and colour matched edging help minimise the visual break between panels, though any join in a solid decor will show some line. Ordering panels from the same batch keeps the tone consistent across a larger run.

    5. Q Does the texture make cutting or edging more difficult than a flat panel?
      A

No. It cuts and edges the same way as any other Egger MFC panel, and the matching edging tape covers the cut edge cleanly regardless of the surface texture.
