SKU: SM8921
Brand: Egger

18mm Egger board MFC F235 ST76 Scivaro Slate looks like real black slate, with a slight shine that catches the light. The pattern doesn’t repeat, so large walls avoid an obvious tiled look. ST76 gives it a genuinely rough feel to the touch. Works well as a feature wall or large cabinet run where stone character matters.

    1. Q Does Scivaro Slate look convincing up close, or only from a distance?
      A

The rough ST76 texture holds up well at close range, since it's a genuine tactile finish rather than just a printed image. The repeat-free pattern also means adjacent panels don't show an obvious repeat, which is usually the giveaway with lower quality stone effect decors.

    2. Q Can large panel runs be built from multiple sheets without the pattern looking tiled?
      A

Yes, this is one of the decor's main strengths. The pattern is designed not to repeat visibly across the sheet, so joining several panels together for a large wall or counter run avoids the obvious grid effect that a repeating pattern would create.

    3. Q Is the surface tested for staining resistance like other Egger decorative panels?
      A

Yes. Tested to EN 14323, Scivaro Slate holds a stain resistance rating of 3 or higher, so everyday marks and spills wipe away without leaving a lasting mark, even across the textured surface.

    4. Q Is this panel suitable for use around a fireplace, given the stone-like look?
      A

It can be used for a decorative surround kept away from direct heat sources, since the panel itself isn't heat rated for close proximity to an open flame or firebox. It's worth checking the fireplace's own clearance requirements before finalising the design.

    5. Q Does this panel need to acclimatise in the room before it's fixed permanently?
      A

It's good practice to let it sit in the room for a day or so beforehand, letting it settle to the local temperature and humidity, especially in a newly plastered or recently heated space.
