    1. Q Can this panel be used as a kitchen worktop?
      A

      This standard 18mm MFC panel is intended for furniture and interior fit-out rather than use as a finished kitchen worktop. A genuine worktop needs a moisture-resistant core, along with tested heat resistance, food-safe hygiene and resistance to household cleaning chemicals, properties this standard panel doesn't have. It performs best as cabinet fronts, carcasses and shelving.ย 
    2. Q Is the edging tape pre-glued, or does it need a separate adhesive?
      A

      The matching Lava Grey edging tape is supplied unglued, with a universal bonding primer already applied. It is designed for hot melt edgebanding machines using EVA, PA, APAO or PUR adhesive systems, not for hand application with an iron.
    3. Q How does Lava Grey compare to a standard flat grey decor?
      A

      Standard greys usually sit neutral or lean slightly cool. Lava Grey carries a visible red undertone instead, which reads warmer in person and blends more naturally with reddish or warm toned woodgrains than a flat grey typically would.
    4. Q Does the panel need sealing on cut edges even if they will not be visible?
      A

      Sealing is not essential structurally, since the panel is rated for dry interior use throughout. It becomes more important only in spaces prone to occasional splashes or humidity, where an unsealed edge could draw in moisture over time.
    5. Q What is the difference between this panel and its lacquered PerfectSense versions?
      A

      Standard ST9 melamine panels like this one have a matt surface straight from manufacture. PerfectSense lacquered versions, where available in the same decor, add a UV lacquer coating for extra depth and an anti-fingerprint surface.
    6. Q Will the colour match exactly between different batches or delivery dates?
      A

      Slight colour and surface variation between production batches is normal for decorative panels, so components used side by side on the same project should ideally come from the same batch where visual consistency matters most.
